Product Description
AS-TEX is a versatile cement free textured coating made from a proprietary blend of inorganic materials blended with a durable hybrid dry polymer. Once AS-TEX has been applied using a simple hopper gun system it will fully cure within 24 hours. AS-TEX can be integrally colored with pigments pre-added to the polymer or stained using acid stains or SMG’s acid free Aqua-Sil pigment stains. Once coatings or stains have dried (Drying usually takes 4-6 hours). AS-TEX can be top coated with Epocryl 1k or Epocryl epoxy clear top coats. AS-TEX should always be top coated for highest durability levels. AS-TEX is a two part “Mix and Spray” system.
AS-TEX is also available in a wide range of colors and shades and can be blended into custom colors to your specifications. Colorants are conveniently blended into the polymer. This method of coloring provides more consistent coloration of the final coating. AS-TEX, can be sprayed or troweled onto any properly prepared surface; including wood, natural stone and prepared metal surfaces.
